The River Punt Saloon & Sports Bar is a nod to the old Euston-Robinvale Murray River Punt that operated in front of where the Euston Club is now between Euston and Robinvale from the mid 1800s until March 1928 when the Euston-Robinvale wooden and steel liftspan bridge was opened.
The River Punt Saloon & Sports Bar name is also consistent with the heritage connection as per Station46 and the Euston region. The River Punt Saloon & Sports Bar is a strong name and is about connection which is what a saloon and sports bar does…it connects community. It’s easy to remember and also pulls the Euston Club in as a ‘whole of Murray River Bar’.
The typography is based on a softer, yet bold design that connects the flow of the river with curves and also keeps the heritage colours ‘similar’ to Station46. This brand identity aims to fit in with the architects log cabin design for the Saloon & Sports Bar with a bold, strong identity. Binding the brand to the architects design was paramount.
