Sky High Jumpathon 2014

We’re jumping for disadvantaged youth…and hope you can help

25 Years of Skydiving – 25 Jumps in one day – You can sponsor me for just $1 per jump ($25)

G’day,

I’m really excited! I’ve decided to be part of a TV documentary on Channel 7 later this year. I will be taken away on an adventure of a lifetime and followed around by an award winning film crew. This is really cool…really exciting! Maybe next year I’ll be at the Oscars with Ellen 🙂

12 lucky people (me being one of them!) have each committed to raising $10,000, all of which will go towards helping disadvantaged youth in South Australia.  After reaching our fundraising target, we will depart on a six day surprise adventure in August – we don’t even know where we’ll be going or what we’ll be doing, although I do know that all the thrills and spills will be captured by a film crew!  Whilst I am excited about this fantastic project, I am eager to get my fundraising underway and hope to exceed my goal of $10,000!

I started skydiving in 1989 and this is my 25th year…so its a great time to do a Sky High Jumpathon…25 jumps in a day to celebrate. It will be a long day however we’re raising money for a great cause. I’m jumping with two mates, Steve Boekel and Jed Smith and supported by a team of packers, ground crew, pilots and SA Skydiving.

If you do donate you’ll go in the draw to win a tandem jump or you can give it to a family member or friend…and I’ll jump with you, however you’ll need to donate before 28th April, 2014!

The young people in the Youthinc program, come from a very wide range of poor circumstances; violence in the home, lack of role models (where examples of work ethic, etc are not demonstrated), long history of unemployment, falling in with the wrong crowd due to lack of supervision, as well as situations of disability.  Youthinc’s priority is to break this cycle of disadvantage and create opportunities for people who are vulnerable to falling between the cracks.  I was inspired by the difference Youthinc are making and am very proud to be part of such a worthwhile cause.

Any contributions will be greatly appreciated and your support in my fundraising activities will also be valued. I’d love to have 300 sponsors and hope you can help. In the meantime, donations are tax deductible and can be directed straight to my tally at www.youthinc.org.au ‘Shane Strudwick’.

Last year, a massive $134,000 was raised for Youthinc and this year promises to be even better!

I can’t wait to get started – 2014 is going to be a GREAT year for helping disadvantaged youth and our adventure!

Thank you, I’m grateful for your support! Cheers, Shane 🙂
